Vascular Surgery Conference Schedule

Current clinical and basic science conferences focus on student, resident and vascular fellow education. The first year vascular fellow is primarily responsible for the organization of the Monday morning conferences. Journal Club is a well-attended round table discussion of articles chosen by the vascular fellows. The combined Vascular/Interventional Radiology/Cardiology conference is a multidisciplinary conference directed at diagnostic arteriography and endovascular therapy. The two vascular fellows alternate presenting at the basic science conference from a predetermined schedule that rotates over a two-year period. In addition fellows attend a monthly Boston Area Vascular Lecture Series, where they have the opportunity to interact with vascular fellows and staff from other programs in New England and to learn more about ongoing basic science and clinical research in vascular surgery.
